afe-T-Glove 524G 24-Ounce Hot Mill Glove (Gauntlet Cuff)

The Safe-T-Glove 524G is the extended-coverage version of our popular hot mill line, providing dependable intermediate-temperature thermal protection with the added security of a longer gauntlet cuff. This glove is ideal for applications where sparks, debris, or radiant heat pose a risk to the wrist and lower forearm.

Key Features & Benefits:

  • Extended Gauntlet Cuff (524G): Features a protective gauntlet cuff that extends coverage past the wrist, offering a critical barrier against sparks and heat intrusion along the forearm.

  • 24-Ounce Cotton Construction: Made from 100% cotton with a quilted double palm and fleece nap out for superior cushioning and EN 407 Level 2 thermal insulation.

  • Comfort Cut: Designed with a larger size and open cuff top to maximize airflow, reduce heat buildup, and facilitate quick removal for emergency doffing (a critical safety feature).

  • Enhanced Durability: The reinforced knuckle strap provides extra protection against impact and abrasion when handling heavy or rough metal parts.

  • High-Volume Inventory: Sold by the dozen and packed 10 dozen per case, perfect for efficient purchasing in high-consumption industrial settings.

Tested Performance & Compliance

This glove is certified to meet the minimum requirements for EN 407 Contact Heat Level 2. It is proven to resist a test temperature of 250°C (482°F) for at least 15 seconds before the internal temperature rises by 10°C.

Ideal Applications Requiring Wrist Coverage:

  • Metal Forging Operations

  • Foundry Work (Especially Ladle Handling)

  • Steel and Aluminum Extrusion
